SEC video coming to Sony PS3

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The digital network for the Southeastern Conference has worked out plans with Sony to add two new college sports apps to the PlayStation Network for use on the PlayStation 3, bringing video highlights from conference games to the entertainment system.

FOX6 News has learned the partnership makes XOS Digital the first company to bring college football, among other sports, to the Sony PS3 system.

The new SEC Digital Network app will include video highlights of conference games, documentaries, and other original programming across all conference sports, including college football. For example, fans will be able to go back and see highlights from previous Iron Bowl matches.

“Our partnership with XOS Digital gives our customers another great choice to access and stream sports content, when and how they want it,” said Brandon Stander, director of marketing for Sony’s PlayStation Network. “PlayStation Network already offers a comprehensive library of sports content and now college sports fans can enjoy a customizable, on-demand entertainment experience on their PS3 system.”
