PS3 Patch Updates Skyrim To 1.3, Lag Fix Coming 2012 - Bethesda

Skyrim’s latest update has finally arrived on the PS3 via a 92MB download, but doesn’t tackle the potentially game-crippling technical issues experienced by a number of gamers since launch.

The Skyrim 1.3 patch hit Xbox 360 and PC last week.

The patch notes, as below, address minor issues, with Bethesda confirming that it will look to fix the game’s  framerate problems in a future update. It has issued advice on temporary fixes to improve performance in the meantime.

Bethesda has also confirmed the 1.3 update is the last patch of 2011 - meaning that any future fix will now appear next year.

Update 1.3 Notes (all platforms unless specified)

  • Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
  • Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
  • Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
  • Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
  • Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate
