Sony has released a couple of promos for the Vita, hammering home the messages of cross-platform and remote play with the PlayStation 3, as well as the handheld’s unique feature set.

Be thoroughly informed by the two videos below.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Pacific, Sony Japan has launched a PlayStation Network promotion to ensure new Vita owners exploit the console’s increased connectivity. Andriasang reports users are encouraged to download “PS Vita Support tickets” from their Vita and other PSN devices, in order to score a set of wallpapers based on popular launch titles and the chance to win a PSN voucher.

When using their Vitas, users wil notice bags hidden around the PlayStation Store. Collecting enough of these enters you into a draw to win more vouchers. Exclusive silver Vita straps and cases are also up for grabs for those who make purchases of Vita games.

The Vita launches in Japan on Saturday, and arrives in the West on February 22.

Thanks, Evil Avatar.
