PS3 Version Of Skyrim To Receive DLC After The Xbox 360

The release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now just a few months away but already one console is getting an advantage over the other with Bethesda announcing that the Xbox 360 will get DLC for the game 30 days before the PS3 and PC platforms. You would think that with a game receiving so much attention from all corners of the gaming spectrum that a simultaneous release of DLC across all platforms would be best but unfortunately Bethesda disagrees and as a result the PlayStation 3 and PC are being screwed over on one of the biggest games the industry will see this year.

PS3 and PC owners: Bethesda is not your friend

The official line on the matter simply says:

The first two add-on content drops for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be releasing exclusively on Xbox 360, 30 days before it’s available anywhere else”.

No explanation is giving as to why the Xbox is more deserving of this DLC than gamers on the PlayStation 3 or PC are but this is way things have lined up but hopefully there will be enough content in the main game (and I should think there is) to keep you occupied until the 30 days passes and you can get the DLC.

Anyway, if you have managed to forgive Bethesda by then, The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim releases worldwide on November 11th in both normal and Collector’s Editions.
